A Journey of Freedom, Pride & Empowerment

Ride Bahrain with Me

Back in 2017, I rode my motorcycle across Bahrain, becoming the first Pakistani woman to ride a motorcycle in the Kingdom alongside the incredible Desi Riders Bahrain 🇧🇭🇵🇰.

This journey wasn’t just about adventure, it was about breaking stereotypes, empowering women and representing Pakistani women riders with pride.

My 2017 Motorcycle Journey Across Bahrain

Riding with the Group

This ride was especially memorable because Abid, the leader of the group, trusted me with his Harley. It was my first time riding a Harley, a huge jump from riding a 125 cc in Pakistan and suddenly I had new roads in Bahrain to explore on this powerful machine.

I rode in a group because driving in Bahrain is on the opposite side than Pakistan and it made the experience safer and more enjoyable. What amazed me was the diversity of the group mostly Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi Harley lovers living in Bahrain.

A Unique and Welcoming Community

Why This Ride Matters

This ride was not just about motorcycles. It was about freedom, community and empowerment. Riding a Harley for the first time, exploring new roads and being part of a group of passionate riders gave me a sense of connection and courage.

From the desert trails to the coastal highways, I experienced Bahrain’s culture, food and history firsthand all while breaking stereotypes and inspiring others, especially women to chase their dreams on two wheels.

I didn’t see a single other lady in the group, which made this ride even more special. They introduced me to the culture of Bahrain and shared their love for the country and for riding. We visited local food shops, tried authentic Bahraini cuisine and explored the desert areas where oil was discovered. We also visited engineering projects by Pakistani engineers, building land on the sea, a testament to innovation and hard work.
